Hadrian, 117-138. Denarius (Subaeratus, 18 mm, 3.07 g, 7 h), a contemporary plated imitation of an issue from Rome, irregular mint, after 133. HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P Laureate and draped bust of Hadrian to right, seen from behind. Rev. ADVENTVS AVG Roma standing front, head to right, holding spear in her left hand and clasping right hands with Hadrian, togate, standing front, head to left, holding scroll in his left hand. Cf. BMC 582 and RIC 1985 (for prototype). Very well made and of exceptionally fine style. Minor breaks in plating, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
